ArcadeXR Vietnam: 3D Environment Artist


Arcade Legend VR is a pioneering virtual reality game that blends the charm of classic

arcade games with the immersive capabilities of modern VR technology. We aim to deliver a unique and engaging experience, allowing players to step into a vibrant, interactive arcade world. We are looking for a talented 3D Environment Artist to join our team and help us bring this vision to life. Job Responsibilities

- 3D Modeling: Create high-quality 3D models, including both hard surface and organic

models, using Blender and ZBrush.

- Texturing: Apply detailed textures using the PBR workflow in Substance Painter, ensuring realistic and aesthetically pleasing results.

- High Poly to Low Poly Conversion: Transfer details from high poly models to low poly

versions, generating ambient occlusion (AO) maps, normal maps, and other necessary

texture maps.

- UV Unwrapping: Correctly unwrap UVs to optimize texture application and minimize

artifacts.

- Game Integration: Integrate 3D assets into the Unity game engine, ensuring compatibility and functionality.

- LOD Generation: Generate Levels of Detail (LODs) to ensure optimal performance across various hardware configurations.

- Process Explanation: Clearly explain workflow processes, highlight challenges faced, and justify decisions made during the modeling and texturing stages. Requirements

- Experience: Proven experience in creating high-quality 3D models for games,

demonstrated through a strong portfolio.

- Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in Blender and ZBrush for model creation.

- Expertise in using Substance Designer and Substance Painter for PBR texturing.

- Strong understanding of UV unwrapping techniques.

- Familiarity with generating AO and normal maps.

- Experience in creating both high poly and low poly models.

- Knowledge of game engine integration, preferably Unity.

- Clear understanding of the process of generating LODs.

- Other: Photoshop, Organic + Hardsurface, resources optimizing (polycount, texture),

know how to git

Soft Skills:

- Demonstrates attention to detail.

- Ability to explain and justify artistic decisions and workflow processes.

- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

- Previous experience in the gaming industry.

- Understanding of other game engines aside from Unity.

- Ability to create aesthetically pleasing renders with subtle details.


Portfolio Requirements:

- Portfolio should include: detailed breakdowns of your process, wireframes, UV maps,

texture maps, and not just the final polished assets.
